What is Lakewood Ranch like?
Lakewood Ranch is an 17,500 acre, award-winning master-planned community. It is located close to 1-75 on Florida’s Gulf Coast, less than an hour south of Tampa. It also consists of nine villages. The housing varies from townhomes to custom estates. As they say on lakewoodranch.com, "Where families become neighbors, neighbors become family and everyone enjoys a sense of community." Lakewood Ranch has a reputation as one of the fastest-giteming and most-desirable master-planned communities in the state and has been designated as the largest green-certified community in the US.

World-class festivals and events!
Most noteworthy, the first Friday of every month there is live music on Main Street. It may be swing, country or good old rock and roll, but it’s a great time every time! There is an "Art at the Ranch" especially relevant to art lovers. This also benefits the ArtCenter Manatee and is a premiere showcase for local, national and international artists.
What do people say?
Here are some comments and reviews from people who have enjoyed some of the world class events and facilities at Lakewood Ranch:
Scott P. on the Sarasota Polo Club: "One of the experiences that we love to share with visitors is an afternoon of polo at the Sarasota Polo Club. Bring your own refreshments, chairs, blankets and a beach umbrella (to keep the Florida sun at bay) - sit back and relax while watching the 'sport of kings.' It's an experience you'll never forget at the players fly by at thirty miles per hours - all while balancing on horseback and hitting a ball with a mallet. It's quite an athletic and artistic display." March 24, 2015
shortgrass76 on Fish Hole Miniature Golf: "My kids love to go here after we eat at the local restaurants on Main Street. I do have to say that it is pricey at almost $9 per person. Look in the local papers for a BOYO first. I do have to say that they do put money back into the course and it is well maintained." September 9, 2015
Noel J. on Esplanade Golf and Country Club "This is a well presented and designed golf course. The front nine is very receptive and nicely layed out around the planned development but the back nine which is fabulous as well is really stretched out. The course can be played by all levels and it was in excellent condition." February 16, 2015
